Yoga Therapy

Many doctors are now supporting yoga therapy, the application of yoga practices to alleviate physical and mental health conditions. Therapeutic yoga is an inherently holistic approach, simultaneously working on the body, mind, and spirit. This type of therapy promotes self-care and encourages overall well-being.

Yoga therapy involves employing a variety of yogic tools—postures/exercises, breathwork, meditation techniques, and more—to address an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional needs.  Rather than focusing on yoga methods and practices, yoga therapists fundamentally focus on their clients’ needs rather than the specific techniques or methods of yoga practice. Clients do not need to have any experience with yoga and can be effective on those with any level of physical fitness.

The Estuary’s staff member, Missy Caldwell, offers Yoga Therapy. No need for yoga experience is necessary!
