Welcome! I am Shelby Gibson. I am a firm believer that taking the first step toward seeking therapy is a brave and meaningful decision. My hope is that my therapy room is a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you are seeking to address specific issues or simply need a supportive ear, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and wholeness. Together, we can work towards creating a life that feels balanced, fulfilled, and authentically yours.

SPECIALTIES

  • Caregiver/Caretaker Burnout: Supporting those who tirelessly care for others to regain balance and find their own peace.

  • Geriatric Counseling: Helping older adults navigate the complexities of aging with dignity and resilience.

  • Unidentified Anger: Assisting individuals in understanding and managing their anger, transforming it into a source of personal growth.

  • Family-Related Trauma: Healing wounds from past family experiences, fostering healthier relationships and a brighter future.

*While these areas are my specialties, you don’t need to fall into one of these categories to be a good fit. I have a wide range of experience from grief, severe depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorders, or simply just needing extra care during tough life transitions.

MY APPROACH

I believe that optimal mental health is achieved when the body, mind, spirit, and surroundings are all nurtured. My approach is holistic, recognizing that each aspect of your life plays a crucial role in your overall well-being. My Christian faith shapes my worldview, and I am happy to integrate faith into our sessions if that aligns with your values. However, I also respect and work effectively with individuals from all religious backgrounds, offering spiritual integration or support in navigating church hurt.
